About 5 years ago, when Pam needed to replace her primary sewing machine, the seller recommended a combination of sewing and embroidery machine. Custom Designs by Pam didn’t have any embroidery requests at the time and it wasn’t of her interest either, but her husband thought it would be a great addition to the shop. Convinced that this was the best option for the variety of sewing needs we cover, this combination machine became part of our company's assets, although honestly, Pam just stuck the embroidery attachment in a cabinet and forgot about it.
Three years later, when her first grandson came home from the hospital in a beautiful shirt with his name embroidered on it, she melted. We immediately contacted the store and requested an embroidery class that, of course, they were happy to accommodate. A couple of months later a second machine was added. We can now, service our embroidery customers while we continue to work our projects sewing in a different machine. Today, embroidery is a significant part of our business. We also have added a 10-needle machine that improves our ability to do corporate items consistently – shirts, hats, backpacks and jackets.
We have embroided shirts, backpacks, robes, towels, baby onesies, and we are open to explore other possibilities as we continue to grow our embroidery expertise.
